The Triple Spiral
The triple spiral or triskele is a Celtic and pre-Celtic
symbol found on a number of Irish Megalithic
and Neolithic sites, most notably inside
the Newgrange passage tomb, on the entrance
stone, and on some of the curbstones
surrounding the mound.
What the symbol meant to the pagans who
built Newgrange and other monuments is unknown.
Today the symbol is used to represent a variety
of triplicities. For Triple Spiral Media, it represents
the concept of energies and
aspects in Balance.
Trines of complementarity, interdependency and
inner personal foundations from which to grow
and move out into the world. For us, it also
symbolizes the constant, dynamic movement of
the energies in our lives in circular and spiral
patterns, interweaving and ultimately
returning to beginnings - For ourselves,
our families, our communities, our networks,
our natural world and our Earth.
This interconnected energy is our past.
It is our present.
And with the acknowledgment
of our connectedness, it is hopefully
the key to manifesting a healthy and
peaceful shared future.
